Genealogy is a fascinating, but time-consuming hobby. The question of the origins of our own family has always preoccupied us. Everyone has individual and exciting stories within their family. Be it the grandfather with the unknown French soldier for a father or the great-grandparents' escape from Silesia as a result of the war, be it the great-uncle who shaped the architecture of a city as a building councillor or the third cousin, unknown to oneself but nevertheless famous abroad, whom one gets to know through research. The stories just need to be researched.

In times of digitalisation, it is now possible for everyone to conduct online research. Nonetheless, this research is not possible for everyone - often due to time constraints, sometimes due to the sheer mass of information and websites, inadequate sources or problems with archival research.​

Hi, I'm Tom. I've been researching my own family since 2018 (i.e. since I was 15 years old).
It all started with a suitcase full of old documents that we was not able to read. I then taught myself how to read the old German scripts. I was so fascinated by the stories I found on the documents that I drew up my first family tree.
My own family tree now includes over 10,000 people and around 1,000 direct ancestors. I have also helped friends and family with their research - now it's your turn. I would be happy to help you with your research!
